પેચ રે લડાવી જુઓ, જામવાનો જંગ છે...
લાવો, લાવો, પતંગ અને માંજો...
કહો વાયરાને મન મૂકી વાજો...
આભને તેડીને ઊભી મારી પતંગ, જુઓ...
ઠમકો મારીને એનો નિખરે છે રંગ, જુઓ...
પાવલો કે ઘેંસિયો કે ચાંદેદાર આંખવાળો...
આભમાં જુઓને બાંધ્યો ધરતીએ રંગમાળો...
આભ આખું ધરતીનો પર્યાય છે...
ચારેબાજુ પતંગો દેખાય છે...
મારા પતંગના સારાવાના થાજો...
કહો વાયરાને મન મૂકીને વાજો...
સંબંધોના સરનામે જામવાની ઓર મઝા,
પાડોશીના પતંગોને કાપવાની ઓર મઝા...
ખેંચીને કાપશું, ક્યાંક ઝોલ નાખી રાખશું,
ઢીલ છોડી સામેવાળાને હંફાવશું...
પ્રેમપત્રો આકાશને લખાય છે...
કેવી ઉત્તરાયણ ઉજવાતી જાય છે...
જોને, ધાબા પર થાય છે અવાજો...
કહો વાયરાને મન મૂકીને વાજો...

ReplyDeleteUttarayan is one of the many festivals I miss here in the US. I think it is because as you mentioned we had a wonderful time together on Uttarayan.
